AccessDenied.Net does not collect personally identifiable information
about individuals except when individuals specifically provide such
information on a voluntary basis. This personally identifiable information
may be typically gathered from registration in the Gamer Database,
community postings (e.g., forums and bulletin boards), suggestions,
emails to email addresses at AccessDenied.Net and voting/polling activities.
In the Gamer Database, this information may include an individual's email,
name, geographical location, ICQ #, game preferences and habits, and
whatever other information the individual chooses to provide.
Information on individual users will not be sold or otherwise transferred
to unaffiliated third parties without the approval of the user.
AccessDenied.Net reserves the right to contact individuals regarding
matters relevant to the underlying service and/or the information collected.
For example, AccessDenied.Net infrequently emails individuals registered
in the Gamer Database to ensure that their email address is still valid
and to notify them of any important changes to the Site (although
you can choose to not receive such emails).
AccessDenied.Net additionally has some optional Services that will result
in a user receiving emails. For example, there is a newsletter, and
users can request automatic notifications when a Challenge Board is
updated. Users must request to receive these mailings.
However, with some Services, all user information that is entered
is publicly available. For example, information entered in the Gamer
Database and Challenge Boards is publicly available, since the intended
use of these Services is to provide contact information for others.
This may result in the user receiving emails and contact attempts
from other users. Additionally, this information may be collected
and correlated and used by third parties and may result in
unsolicited messages from third parties that are unrelated to the
original intention of user providing the information. Such activities
are not condoned or endorsed by AccessDenied.Net, but are beyond our
control. As a user, you should understand the risks of submitting
your personal information.
AccessDenied.Net reserves the right to perform statistical analyses of
user behavior and characteristics in order to measure interest in and
use of the various areas of the site and to inform advertisers of such
information as well as the number of users that have been exposed to or
clicked on their advertising banners. AccessDenied.Net will provide only
aggregated data from these analyses to third parties.
Upon request, AccessDenied.Net will remove information you have provided
(e.g. your Gamer Profile or Challenge Board post), within a reasonable
time, and provided you are the original author.
The Gamer Database also provides a Service for the removal of your profile.
You can also use the the Gamer Database to update/correct personal
information. Some parts of this Site, such as the Challenge Boards,
do not currently provide an update/editing feature, but you can request
changes by contacting AccessDenied.Net. However, it may be impossible
to completely delete a user's profile in the Gamer Database, or Challenge
Board post, etc, without some residual information because of backups and
records of deletions. Although this information will not be publicly
available through the Site, unless AccessDenied.Net is forced to return
to a backup prior to the change or deletion. In such
a rare situation, AccessDenied.Net is not responsible or liable for
duplicating all changes, deletions and additions since the restored
backup date. It is the responsibility of the user to re-submit or
re-request the change, deletion or addition.
Cookies: Users also should be aware that non-personal information and data may
be automatically collected through the standard operation of AccessDenied.Net's
internet servers or through the use of "cookies." Users should be aware
that AccessDenied.Net cannot control the use of cookies or the
resulting information by advertisers or third parties hosting data
for AccessDenied.Net. Most web browsers have a feature that will allow
the user to accept or deny a cookie. The user should be aware, however,
that the use of such cookies may be necessary to provide the user with
certain features available on AccessDenied.Net.
